Administrative Requirements Portal

Welcome to the Administrative Requirements Portal

Administrative requirements are whole of government administrative directions, policies, and guidance. They include Premier’s Memoranda and Departmental Circulars (Memos and Circulars). Central agencies can issue Circulars. The Premier issues Memos.

More information about Memos and Circulars can be found in the Administrative Requirements Framework (the Framework), which is a guidance document for the government sector prepared by The Cabinet Office.

The Framework also provides information about:

  • who can issue and publish administrative requirements
  • the different types of administrative requirements
  • the principles that agencies should consider when developing and reviewing an administrative requirement.

The Administrative Requirements Portal (ARP) is an online database of all administrative requirements across the government sector (including Memos and Circulars). The drafting, publishing and hosting of all Memos and Circulars occurs on the ARP.

Memos and Circulars should be maintained for currency and updated as required.

For more information you can contact the Governance team.

If you need to publish administrative requirement content, you can register an account.
