1. Travelling Allowances within Australia:

Travelling allowances for part-time members of Boards and Commissions have recently been reviewed following variations to the rates for Clause 39 of the Public Sector Management (General) Regulation, 1988.

The following rates apply with effect on and from lst June, 1991.

Capital cities including Canberra - $153.40 per day or actual expenses as provided in Clause 47.

2. meal Allowances:

Elsewhere - $109.25 per day or actual expenses as provided in Clause 47.

Meal Allowances for travel not involving an overnight stay have recently been reviewed following variation in the rates for Clause 36 of the Public Sector Management (General) Regulation, 1988.

The following rates apply on and from 1st June 1991.

• Breakfast $8.60
• Lunch $11.10
• Dinner $20.20

Please bring these new rates to the attention of your Department, any sub-Department or other Authority coming within or associated with your administration.
