As part of the commitments made to Dr P. Macdonald (the Member for Manly) in October 1991 to further enhance the accountability and performance-basis of the Senior Executive Service, the Regulations under the Annual Reports Acts will be amended to require departments and authorities to report in their Annual Report on the following three issues:

1. number and level of SES positions,
2. number of women in the SES, and
3. the performance of Chief Executives and SES officers Level 5 and above.

The attached outline has been prepared to assist in preparation of material for inclusion in the Annual Reports.
