C1992-13 1992 Estimates Committees

Detailed Outline

Parliament recently agreed to a number of changes to the sessional procedures for this year's Estimates Committees. Those changes are as outlined in the attached copy of the Procedural Guidelines issued by the Legislative Assembly.

1 would draw your attention to the fact that the number of Estimates Committees has been expanded to 25, reflecting each of the provisions of the Appropriation Bill. Some alterations have also been made to the sitting dates for the Committees and the time allotted to ask questions together with arrangements on how questions will be permitted to be asked during each proceeding.

This year the proceedings of all Committees will be recorded by Hansard and once again will be regarded as proceedings of the Parliament.
