The Honourable Gordon Samuels AC will assume the administration of the Government of New South Wales on 1 March 1996.

The last ordinary meeting of the Executive Council over which the Lieutenant Governor, by deputation from His Excellency Rear Admiral Peter Sinclair AC, will preside will be Wednesday 28 February 1996.

The full title of the incoming Governor for use in respect of Commissions, Proclamations, etc is

'His Excellency the Honourable Gordon Samuels, Companion
of the Order of Australia, Governor of the State of New South
Wales in the Commonwealth of Australia'.

In the case of certain Proclamations, etc. where use of a shorter title would be appropriate, the title 'The Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales' may be used.
