1 refer to the recent decision on Senior Executive Service (SES) remuneration handed down by the Statutory and Other Offices Remuneration Tribunal (SOORT). The determination has been considered and 1 have approved an increase of up to 4% for 'all staff on SES type remuneration packages.

In line with earlier decisions this increase must be linked to a formal performance review. 1 have attached a pro forma detailing the staff in your office who are eligible for the increase. Please return the completed pro forma to Ministerial and Parliamentary Services (MAPS) Division by 20 February i998.

Any increase in remuneration will be effective from 1 October 1997. Subject to the. Premier's approval, MAPS Division will advise the Chief Executive Officers of your host agency.

All increases in remuneration are to be funded from within the current budget allocation.
