I refer to Circular 1998-02 which invites all Chief Executives to attend a breakfast briefing on achieving savings in workers' compensation.

Workplace safety has an important part to play in corporate services reform in the NSW public sector to make the sector more efficient, effective and competitive.

The briefing is specifically designed for CE0s in order to focus their attention on making a cost effective investment in workplace safety. This will provide returns in improved performance as well as reduced workers' compensations costs. All CE0s are urged to attend. The briefings will be followed, at a date to be advised, by a practitioner workshop covering implementation issues.

A program is attached. A continental breakfast will be provided.
