Detailed Outline
The Crown Employees (Senior Officers Salaries 1997) Award was varied on 24 July 1998 in proceedings before the Industrial Relations Commission of NSW with the consent of the Public Employment Office and the Public Service Association. The variation provides for a further increase of 2% to salaries with effect from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 1998. This payment is in addition to the 3% pay increase that was also effective from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 1998.
Salaries for Senior Officers are set out in the attached schedule.
In line with the additional 2% as provided by the variation to the Crown Employees (Public Sector Salaries June, 1997) Award, the increase to salaries of Senior Officers is to be met from organisations' existing budgets without a reduction in service delivery. It is important that organisations pursue the possibility for savings under the corporate services reform agenda and issues contained in the Memorandum of Understanding to that Award.
