About

As you would be aware, Premier's Memorandum 99-10 suspends the advertising and filling of vacancies throughout all Budget Dependent General Government Sector Agencies with effect from 20 April 1999. This memorandum outlines that agencies are encouraged to redeploy existing staff to fill vacant positions.

Should your organisation identify positions that may be filled through redeployment, your organisation should contact the Workforce Management Centre as an initial step for advice on the availability of any suitable displaced employee on the attached list of current displaced employees.

Employees on the list have already satisfied the requirements for merit selection at the job level for which they are to be considered for redeployment. This could provide your organisation with access to quality staff.

A significant number of employees have been and continue to be redeployed to positions within and between NSW public sector organisations. The spirit with which agencies are participating and assisting in the redeployment of employees who have been affected by organisation restructures is appreciated.

For further information please contact the Workforce Management Centre on (02) 9228 4766 or at the email address on [email protected].
