C1999-34 Leave Entitlements for Reserve Forces Day Commemorative Service - 1 July, 1999

Detailed Outline

This year's celebration of the raising of the Citizen Military Forces/Army Reserve and volunteer service in the Nation's Reserve Forces will take the form of a Commemorative Service in the capital cities of each State and the Northern Territory on Thursday 1st July, 1999. Form up for the Service in Sydney will commence at 10.00am at The Cenotaph, Martin Place.

The Reserve Forces Day Commemorative Service will be a public event giving the community an opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge the contribution and value of Reserve service to the Nation. Past and present members of all three services of the CMF/Reserve Forces are encouraged to attend.

To mark the occasion, special purpose leave has been granted for eligible public sector staff who wish to take part in the Service, subject to Departmental convenience.
