On 23 August 2000 the NSW Industrial Relations Commission reviewed the Crown Employees (Librarians) Award and the Crown Employees (Archivists) Award as required by s19 (6) of the Industrial Relations Act 1996. With the consent of the parties including the Public Sector Management Office (PSMO) and the Public Service Association and Professional Officers Association Amalgamated Union of NSW (PSA) new Awards were made.

The reviewed Awards rescind and replace both the Crown Employees (Librarians) Award published 19 November 1986 (243 IG 823) and all variations thereof and the Crown Employees (Archivists) Award published 1 February 1984 (232 IG 748) and all variations thereof.

A copy of the revised Crown Employees (Librarians) Award and the Crown Employees (Archivists) Award is attached for information.
