C2001-25 Crown Employees (Transferred Officers Compensation) Award - Section 19 Review

Detailed Outline

The purpose of this circular is to notify variations to the Crown Employees (Transferred Officers Compensation) Award resulting from the review of the award by the Industrial Relation Commission of NSW carried out pursuant to Section 19 of the Industrial Relations Act 1996.

The award variations are effective from 30 May 2001 and apply to all staff employed in Departments listed in Schedule 1 to the Public Sector Management Act 1988.

Variations of significance include:

(a) Updating of definitions and references, as and where appropriate;
(b) Increasing of all allowances by 12.55%;
(c) Increasing of sale/purchase price limit of residences to $300,000.00;
(d) Inclusion of new clauses 17. Anti-Discrimination and 18. Dispute Resolution
Procedures; and
(e) Removal of provisions dealing with the role of the Crown Solicitor's Office.

To assist departments in identifying all the variations made to the award as a result of the Section 19 Review, the variations in the attached copy of the award are shown in bold print.

The award variations are commended to the NSW public sector organisations for implementation and, if appropriate, variation of industrial instruments.
