THE NATION'S LAST ANZAC
The Premier has called upon the people of New South Wales to show their respect for Mr Alec Campbell the nation's last ANZAC to serve on the Peninsula by observing a minute's silence at 11.00am on Friday 24 May 2002.
Mr Campbell, 103, who died last week will receive a State Funeral in Hobart on Friday 24 May 2002. To mark this occasion, it is requested that one minute's silence be observed from 11.00am to 11.01am on Friday 24 May 2002. It is hoped that, as far as possible, this period of silence will be observed in all Departments and Agencies.
Please bring this matter to the attention of your Department and Sub-Department or Authority coming within, or associated with, your Administration.
