In view of the current global instability it is recommended that before an officer is approved to travel overseas on official business, agencies should look up the latest Travel Advice at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade website:
Officers who receive approval from their Chief Executive Officer to travel overseas on official business at this time should also keep themselves aware of the updated Travel Advice on the above website.
Premier's Department Circular No. 2002 - 42, which includes advice to Chief Executive Officers on the payment of overseas travelling allowances remains in force.
