C2003-27 Crown Employees (Transferred Employees Compensation) Award

Detailed Outline

The purpose of this circular is to advise the NSW public sector that, effective from 1 January 2003, the Public Employment Office has increased the sale/purchase price property limit, applicable under clauses 11 and 12 of the Crown Employees (Transferred Employees Compensation) Award, from $315,000 to $417,000. This increase is based on the 2002 September quarter figures of median house prices in Sydney as published by the NSW Real Estate Institute.

The increase is being implemented by administrative action and applies to all sale/purchase transactions completed on or after 1 January 2003.

The provisions of this circular apply to transferred employees as defined under the Crown Employees (Transferred Employees Compensation) Award employed in departments listed in Schedule 1 to the Public Sector Employment and Management Act, 2002.

Public sector organisations not listed in Schedule 1 to the Public Sector Employment and Management Act, 2002 are advised that this circular is for their information only. In instances where public sector organisations apply the provisions of the Crown Employees (Transferred Employees Compensation) Award to their employees, the Public Sector Management Office recommends that such public sector organisations implement the increase and, if appropriate, vary the appropriate industrial instruments.
