Detailed Outline
As a result of the restructure of the Premier's Department, a number of changes have occurred including changes to the role and title of the Public Sector Management Office.
With effect from 1 July 2003, the Public Sector Management Office (PSMO) and the Office of the Director of Equal Opportunity for Public Employment will be known as the Public Employment Office (PEO).
The PEO will consist of three Divisions:
- Workforce Capability
- Employee Relations and Workforce Planning (incorporating some units from the previous Review and Reform Division)
- Office of Employment Equity and Diversity (formerly Office of the Director of Equal Opportunity in Public Employment (ODEOPE).
This new structure will provide improved, streamlined and comprehensive service delivery to the sector.
The statutory obligations of the Director of Equal Opportunity for Public Employment to the Premier will continue as previously.
