Expense related allowances under the Crown Employees (Skilled Trades) Award and the General Construction and Maintenance, Civil and Mechanical Engineering AndC (State) Award have been varied by the Industrial Relations Commission of NSW. In relation to the Skilled Trades Award, CPI increases were granted in line with variations the National Building And Construction Industry Award 2000 for tool and meal allowances, cost of boots, compensation for clothes and tools, living away from home and camping allowances. There was no increase to fares and travel allowances. Expense related allowances in the General Construction Award were also varied for CPI increases. The variations are as follows:
CROWN EMPLOYEES (SKILLED TRADES) AWARD - Variations are effective from the first full pay period to commence on or after 11 September 2003.
Clause 3 - Tool Allowance
