New charges for SES/Senior Officer motor vehicles, inclusive of GST where applicable, effective from 1 April 2008, are attached as Appendix 1.

Notes on SES/Senior Officer Motor Vehicle Packages 2008 2009 are attached as Appendix 2.
Components in Calculating a Package are attached as Appendix 3 and a Motor Vehicle Salary Sacrifice Package Calculator is attached as Appendix 4.

All remuneration packages should continue to be costed to include the parking space levy (where applicable), fringe benefits tax and either the vehicle's standard operating lease offered by StateFleet or the lease fee specified in the Deed of Novation (as appropriate). Agency owned vehicles used in salary sacrifice arrangements must obtain a lease fee calculation or acknowledgement of the fee applied from StateFleet, which is consistent with the vehicle variant (make/model/series) and term the vehicle will be held.

It would be appreciated if you would ensure that the above information is made available to all appropriate staff within your administration and adjustments to SES/SO remuneration packages made accordingly.

(Note 1: Input tax credits (ITC) are available for CTP insurance. From 1 July 2003, CTP insurers have been issuing tax invoices for policies commencing after 30 June 2003 and GST registered entities will be entitled to claim an ITC on the GST component.)
