Detailed Outline
The Seven Bridges Walk, an initiative of the Pedestrian Council of Australia, will be held on Sunday 26 October 2008.
The New South Wales Government encourages public sector employees to participate in this event.
The 25 kilometre walk follows a circuit around Sydney Harbour, promoting the positive impacts of walking and being active in everyday life while highlighting many of the beautiful sights of Sydney.
The Seven Bridges Walk focuses on exercise rather than competition and participants can go at their own pace; walking all or part of the course.
By taking part in this free community event, participants can increase their level of physical activity and can raise money for charity. You can make an individual donation on the day or have friends, relatives and co-workers sponsor you. Proceeds will go to the four event charities - the Heart Foundation, the Cancer Council, beyondblue and Diabetes Australia.
Participants should register their interest to take part in this fun and rewarding family day out at www.7bridgeswalk.com.au.
