In March 2009, the NSW Department of Commerce advised that the jobs.nsw web site will not be reinstated.  Recruitment advertisements continue to be processed by Government Advertising to be published in the Public Sector Notices and online using the recruitment sites seek, careerone and mycareer. This is an interim arrangement until the new NSW Government e-Recruitment system is available. To ensure the effective coordination of recruitment advertising, all agencies must advertise all positions through Government Advertising. Premier's Memoranda M2008-23 Changes to Government Recruitment Advertising and M2008-21 Filling and Advertising of Public Sector Vacancies remain current.  Agencies must exercise restraint in the advertising and filling of positions. In addition, from the date of this circular, all agencies must: Only use executive search agencies as a last resort for recruitment and seek approval from the Department of Premier and Cabinet to use recruitment agencies for any position. The request must be accompanied by a sound business case. Seek approval from the Department of Premier and Cabinet to advertising any SES position. This applies to all public sector agencies. This includes all agencies and employees in the Government Service (Public Service Departments, Non-Public Service Divisions and Special Employment Divisions), the Teaching Service, NSW Police and the NSW Health Service. The Treasurer will write separately to State Owned Corporations about the adoption of provisions consistent in this circular.
