This general retention and disposal authority applies to common administrative, financial and personnel records created and maintained by New South Wales Public Offices from 1940 onwards.

Detailed Outline
This general retention and disposal authority identifies those records created and maintained by NSW public offices which are required as State archives and provides approval, under the provisions of the State Records Act 1998, for the destruction of certain other records, after minimum retention periods have been met.
This Authority replaces GDA 2, GDA 6, GDA 7 and GDA 12. Copies of these earlier Authorities are available from State Records NSW.
