I wish to remind you of the need to ensure that advertising placed during Election campaign periods does not give grounds for claims that they are published for Party political purposes.

You are requested to ensure that all departments and instrumentals ties associated with your administration are reminded that, during the period of the Election campaign (from the time of the issuance of the writ for the election to the closing of polls), there must be no advertising that could be claimed to have a Party political purpose. Advertisements are not to contain any photographs of Ministers. Also, advertising must have a clear commercial or essential community information purpose and be necessary at that particular time.
