I wish to draw your attention to the importance of all Chief Executive Officers and relevant Senior Officers of Departments and Authorities remaining on duty and being readily contactable during Parliamentary Sessions.

Ministers should ensure that all Chief Executive Officers and relevant Senior Officers within their administration are alerted to the need to limit their absences from duty or their undertaking of official engagements which involve long distance travel while Parliament is in Session.

It would be appreciated if you could arrange to bring details of the above to the notice of all appropriate sections of your administration to ensure the fullest co-operation in this matter.
