Description
Superseded by C2006-28Detailed Outline
I have recently approved a policy change in respect of CES/SES officers who are removed from office and who are subsequently declared "unattached".
Effective from the date of this circular, the maximum period any CES/SES officer can remain unattached will be for a period of (4) four weeks. Ministers and CEOs, however, will have the discretion to extend the period of unattachment
This policy change will also apply to those CES/SES officers who are currently "unattached". The revocation of unattachment for these officers will be (4) four weeks from the date of this circular, unless extended at the discretion of the CEO or Minister.
Attached is an outline of key issues for agencies to consider when implementing the revised policy change in respect of "unattached" officers.
Further enquiries may be directed to Graham Krempin, Project Manager, Senior Executive Services on (02) 228 5222 or Paul Baker, Manager, Workforce Management Centre on (02) 266 5108.
Your assistance in implementing this policy change would be appreciated.
Bob Carr,
Premier.
