A review of statutory functions is being undertaken by an Inter-Departmental Committee (TCO convenor, Premier's Department and Treasury). The review includes consideration of the way remuneration for board and committee members is currently determined. This review will be looking at options to improve current practices.

A review of statutory functions is being undertaken by an Inter-Departmental Committee (TCO convenor, Premier's Department and Treasury). The review includes consideration of the way remuneration for board and committee members is currently determined. This review will be looking at options to improve current practices.
Pending the outcome of this review, Ministers are advised to defer requests for increases in remuneration. It is anticipated that consideration for arrangements for setting remuneration for board and committee members will be completed by June 2000.
