Description
Supersedes M2003-06. New Guidelines attached, updated Feb 2005. Superseded by M2012-18Detailed Outline
The Government's policy in relation to the appointment and remuneration of members of Government boards and committees is outlined in the revised document Guidelines for NSW Board and Committee Members: Appointments and Remuneration.
The new guidelines are issued with this Memorandum and supersede those issued by the Premier's Department in June 2003.
The main amendments to the Guidelines are an increase in the maximum daily sitting fees for Advisory Councils and advice to ensure more vacancies are advertised in line with Government policy regarding selection of candidates for appointment to Government boards and committees.
It would be appreciated if you would bring this Memorandum to the attention of all Chief Executive Officers in your administration, requesting them to ensure that it is disseminated to Chairpersons of Government boards and committees and to officers involved in preparing recommendations on such appointments.
