The 2009 parades will mark 11 years since the inaugural Reserve Forces Day parades and will acknowledge the 70th Anniversary of the commencement of World War II, and part time members serving at that time. The RFDC seeks the attendance of current and former Reservists at the Parades.
Eligible public sector employees who are rostered to work on the day that the parade is held in their locality can seek to apply for a change in the roster for that day. Alternatively, employees may apply for accrued leave, including flex leave, recreation leave or extended leave. All applications for a change in roster or accrued leave are subject to operational requirements and departmental convenience. However, agencies are encouraged to release eligible staff wherever possible.
Further information on the Parades, including starting times and meeting places, can be found at the RFDC website: www.rfd.org.au.
