The Government is committed to giving the best existing and emerging public sector executives the opportunity to equip themselves as leaders of a world class New South Wales public sector.
A major objective is to develop executives who have the required skills, qualities and experience to succeed at senior and chief executive levels.
Staff development, including that of managers, is a core responsibility of every chief executive officer. The Public Employment Office has a role to both provide advice on management development and to offer 'added value" programs that will help your best executives to progress further within the public sector.
In order to carry out its role, the Public Employment Office is surveying all agencies to determine the current status of management development activities. A copy of the survey is enclosed and a further copy will be sent to your senior training and development officer.
Could you please ensure the questionnaire is filled in by an appropriate officer and returned to the Public Employment Office by 21 December, 1995.
Any enquiries concerning the above matter may be addressed to Robert Horrocks on (02) 2284943.
