The purpose of this circular is to advise that the Crown Employees (Training Wage) Award 1996 was made by Commissioner McKenna of the NSW Industrial Relations Commission on 6 June 1996. The award is effective from 23 May 1996, being the date of application. Rates of pay in the new award operate from the first full pay period on or after 23 May 1996.

The Crown Employees ( Training Wage ) Award 1996 is a counterpart award of the National Training Wage Interim Award 1994. In varying the latter award on 21 December 1995 Deputy President Williams of the Australian Industrial Relations Commission made a number of minor changes which are set out in the attached order. Your copy of the Training Wage Award is also attached.
