Description
The Public Service Commissioner has issued a written nomination that five providers are “nominated medical assessors” under rule 22(8) of the Rules.
Detailed Outline
HSSE Rule 22 permits the employer of a Health executive, if the employer has reason to believe that the executive is not fit for duty, to direct the executive to submit to such medical examination or other health assessment as the employer may, on the advice of a nominated medical assessor, consider necessary.
In September 2016, the Public Service Commission selected five providers to be nominated medical assessors under clause 15 of the Government Sector Employment Regulation 2014 (see PSCC 2016-06). However, that nomination applies only to Public Service employees. The purpose of this new nomination under rule 22(8) of the HSSE Rules is to deem the five providers identified in the nomination to be “nominated medical assessors” for the purpose of that rule.
The five providers are:
Immex Green Square Medical Treatment Pty Ltd (ABN 98 106 382 781);
InjuryNET Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 37 105 352 501);
MedHealth Pty Limited (ABN 32 141 219 785);
Resilia Pty Ltd (ABN 65 154 869 271); and
Sonic HealthPlus Pty Ltd (ABN 39 100 261 265).
This is mandatory for NSW Health only.
