About
Remembrance Day will be celebrated this year on Wednesday, 11th November, 1992, and arrangements are being made for a Commemoration Ceremony at the Cenotaph, Martin Place, commencing at 10.40 a.m. The Premier has approved of ex-service men and women in the Government Services, who may be working that day, being allowed sufficient time off to attend the ceremony wherever practicable, subject to Departmental convenience.
An important part of the ceremony will be the general observance of two minutes' silence from 11.00 am to 11.02 am and it is hoped that, as far as possible, this period of silence will also be observed in all Departments where staff are on duty.
It would be appreciated if you would bring this circular to the notice of Sub Departments and other Authorities coming within or associated with your administration.
