As you may be aware, the Premier has established the Strategic Projects Division in Premier's Department to achieve a whole of Government approach to projects of strategic importance to the State in order to maximise their economic and social benefits.

This is a critical and exciting area of Government which requires a broad mix of experience, skills and expertise to develop and implement innovative strategies across Government. There is a vast pool of excellent resources in the Public Sector to contribute to this initiative and opportunities will be available for secondments to Strategic Projects from other agencies. These secondments will also advantage the officers and their home agencies in the longer term.

I would appreciate it, if you could seek Expressions of Interest (EOI's) from officers Grade 9/10 and above, including SES, in your agency who may be interested in being seconded to the Strategic Projects Division for periods up to 12 months.

EOI's should be endorsed by you and include an officer's current curriculum vitae and a page on what they can bring to Premier's Department and what they hope to achieve from the experience. They should be addressed to Ms. Marcelle Anderson, Executive Director, Strategic Projects, Level 39, GMT, 1 Farrer Place. EOI's should be received by 13 June 1997.
