About
The implementation of the Government's policy on Managing Displaced Employees continues to result in the successful redeployment of displaced employees within the public sector and provides organisations with access to a pool of quality staff possessing a broad range of skills and abilities.
Attached for your information is the list of displaced employees for June 1997. As you are aware, all displaced employees have satisfied the requirements for merit selection at their current job level and these staff are now available for immediate placement. It would be appreciated if you would make this list available to staff who are responsible for your organisation's recruitment programs. Further information on the employees on this list can be obtained from the Workforce Management Centre (WMC).
Currently in the final stages of production by the WMC is a set of fact sheets. The topics covered include:
The role of the WMC
- Overview of the redeployment process
- Getting a new job through redeployment Common questions and answers
- Redeployment policy
- Voluntary redundancy policy
It is anticipated that these fact sheets will be ready for distribution later in June, when copies will be sent to all public sector organisations and available on request from the WMC. Any enquiries about the fact sheets should be directed to Christine Sultana at the WMC on 02 9228 3168.
