Detailed Outline
Your continuing assistance with the redeployment of employees affected by organisation restructures and other administrative priorities is acknowledged.
Please find attached the list of displaced employees for August 1997. Employees on this list have already satisfied the requirements for merit selection at the job level for which they are to be considered for redeployment. Your organisation can save time and the expense of advertising by making use of this list when seeking to fill vacancies.
Organisations choosing to proceed with the advertising of vacancies can assist the Workforce Management Centre in its referral of displaced employees by:
- ensuring that each advertisement gives a clear and accurate description of the vacant position to assist in providing a close match with displaced employees;
- making available immediately to the displaced employee the information package for the position;
- conducting the priority assessment in a timely manner; and
- advising the displaced employee and the Workforce Management Centre promptly of the result of the priority assessment.
Organisations with displaced employees can also support this process by ensuring that the details of displaced employees provided to the Workforce Management Centre are correct and up to date. Displaced employees who have been referred by the Workforce Management Centre should also be given assistance by their organisation with resume preparation and ensuring their availability for assessment, immediate trial placement or transfer.
