About
As you may be aware my Department is currently developing a system to provide reliable information on the employment profile of the NSW public sector. Such a profile will permit workforce planning across the sector, as well as providing information for benchmarking and strategic and operational decision-making.
The Australian Centre for Industrial Relations Research and Training (ACIRRT) has been engaged as a consultant to assist with the development of this system.
Officers of my Department and ACIRRT will be conducting a number of focus groups with representatives of a sample of public sector agencies to ascertain the capabilities of agencies to provide human resources data. In particular, the focus groups will identify:
- the structure of data held in agency's systems and
- possible problems in downloading data to alternative file formats.
If you wish your agency to participate, you are invited to nominate a representative to one of the focus groups, according to the human resources information system used by your agency.
