The Premier's Public Sector Awards are designed to recognise excellence in the New South Wales public sector. The awards in 1997 and 1998 have demonstrated the public sector's commitment to quality and dedication to excellence. I have enclosed details of the 1998 Award winners.

Nominations are now invited for the 1999 Premier's Public Sector Awards. The closing date for nominations is Friday 27 August 1999. Nominations are open to all public sector agencies and services including Government Trading Enterprises and State Owned Corporations. The categories for nomination are: the economy and the environment; service delivery; corporate services reform; provision of services to regional / rural NSW; social justice / workplace diversity and ethics.
