Detailed Outline
The November list of displaced employees currently registered with the Workforce Management Centre is attached.
Agencies are encouraged to redeploy existing staff to fill vacant positions.
Agencies are also encouraged to contact the Workforce Management Centre when identifying positions that may be filled through redeployment as an initial step, for advice on the availability of any suitable displaced employees on the attached list of current displaced employees.
Employees on the list have already satisfied the requirements for merit selection at the job level for which they are to be considered for redeployment. This could provide your organisation with access to quality staff.
Chief Executive Officers are also reminded that the Workforce Management Centre is available to assist in the development of management plans for organisational change programs in accordance with Premiers Memorandum 97/27 Managing Displaced Employees and in the redeployment of displaced employees on the attached list.
A significant number of employees have been and continue to be redeployed to positions within and between NSW public sector organisations. The spirit with which agencies are participating and assisting in the redeployment of employees who have been affected by organisation restructures is appreciated.
