The Workers Compensation Act (Workplace Injury Management) Amendment Regulation was gazetted on 10 December 1999 and came into effect on I January 2000.

The 1999 Amendment Regulation gives agencies more flexibility in regard to arrangements for Return-to Work Coordinators and Programs. In certain circumstances, for example, when core business is similar, agencies can share a Return-to-Work Coordinator and Program.

Agencies should check with WorkCover regarding their eligibility and approval and reporting requirements under the 1999 Amendment Regulation.
