This Circular is to inform all CEOs of the inclusion of the Guidelines for the engagement and use of consultants on the Premier's Department Internet and Intranet sites.
The Guidelines have been updated and include a new consultancy agreement which contains extensive revisions to clauses dealing with confidentiality, conflict of interest, intellectual property, insurance, indemnity and alternative dispute resolution, and new clauses on GST and Y2K. The new consultancy agreement replaces the two versions (Version I and II) in the previous edition of the Guidelines.
CEOs should also note that the consultancy agreement is a framework document and it is recommended that agencies seek legal counsel in formalising and finalising any agreement.
