C2001-30 NSW Public Sector Workforce Profile 2001

The third annual data collection for the NSW Public Sector Workforce Profile is about to commence. As in previous years, the Workforce Profile will collect anonymous data on all agency staff employed during the 2000-2001 financial year.

A significant improvement this year is that EEO data will be collected via the Workforce Profile rather than through a separate collection exercise. This streamlining delivers a welcome reduction in reporting workload for all agencies.

The Review and Reform Division (RRD) administers the collection and has recently conducted information sessions with agency contact nominees. RRD will provide ongoing support for agency contact officers through a dedicated query line (02 9228 3265) and via Email at [email protected]. Other assistance includes a detailed Workforce Profile 2001 Workbook and a data template to identify potential errors or missing data. The 2001 data collection process follows that successfully introduced in prior years.

The second collection in 2000 saw a significant improvement in the timeliness of agency returns and the quality of the data provided. Your support is requested to build on this success to ensure that returns are provided by the target date for this year, which is 31 July 2001. Contact officers have been asked to advise RRD of their agency's progress by 20 July 2001 to identify any potential delays or difficulties.
