I refer to the Premier's Department Circular 2001-23 dated 25 May 2001.
The Circular requested that agencies provide a Report detailing progress in achieving the savings required to fund the productivity component of the current salaries MOU. The report was due by 22 June 2001. The information is required so that the PSMO can prepare the required progress report to the Cabinet Sub Committee on Public Administration. I have attached a copy of the Circular, including the reporting format for your information.
Additionally, a regular report will be prepared for Cabinet indicating each agency's progress in identifying and implementing savings initiatives to ensure that the productivity component of the pay agreement is achieved. The first report, based on information contained in the agency progress reports, is to be prepared for submission to Cabinet in August.
If your agency has not provided the return, I would appreciate you forwarding your return by Friday 27 July 2001, so that the report for the Cabinet can be as comprehensive as possible.
