C2001-40 CPA Australia Public Sector Awards

CPA Australia is seeking nominations for its 2001 Public Sector Awards. The Awards recognise the performance excellence of individuals and organisations in the fields of finance, accounting and business management.

There are two categories of nominations, assessed against the following criteria:

Category 1: Public Sector CPA of the Year

  • Leadership; innovation; strategy; and contribution to the public sector.

Category 2: Public Sector Organisational Achievement
How the organisation’s project/service/system has contributed to the public sector by:

  • Demonstrating leadership, innovation and strategic business management;
  • Optimising the use of public sector resources and improving public sector activities;
  • The impact on public sector finance, accounting and business management.

Anyone who is a member of CPA Australia can be nominated for an individual award, and any CPA Australia member can nominate an organisation. Nominations close on Monday, 8 October 2001. The winners of the state awards in 2001 will then go on to contest the national Public Sector awards (biennial) in 2003.

Further information about the awards can be obtained at http://www.cpaonline.com.au/ or by contacting the NSW office of CPA Australia on 9375 6200.
