There are two categories of nominations, assessed against the following criteria:
Category 1: Public Sector CPA of the Year
- Leadership; innovation; strategy; and contribution to the public sector.
Category 2: Public Sector Organisational Achievement
How the organisation’s project/service/system has contributed to the public sector by:
- Demonstrating leadership, innovation and strategic business management;
- Optimising the use of public sector resources and improving public sector activities;
- The impact on public sector finance, accounting and business management.
Anyone who is a member of CPA Australia can be nominated for an individual award, and any CPA Australia member can nominate an organisation. Nominations close on Monday, 8 October 2001. The winners of the state awards in 2001 will then go on to contest the national Public Sector awards (biennial) in 2003.
