C2002-13 Clearance of Vacancies - Workforce Management Centre

Detailed Outline

The Workforce Management Centre appreciates the cooperation of agencies in sending their vacancies for consideration against the list of displaced employees.

Agencies are reminded that all vacancies should be forwarded to the Workforce Management Centre prior to lodging advertisements with the Government Advertising Agency for publication in the Public Service Notices (PSN). This requirement applies to all vacancies advertised in the PSN (excluding Senior Executive Officer positions) and includes Authorities advertising positions in the PSN or on-line with Jobs.NSW.

Agencies are advised that the Workforce Management Centre matches daily. Positions received by 9.00 am will be processed that day. If a position is matched the agency will be advised in writing by close of business that day. If agencies have not been advised by the end of the business day (for positions received by 9.00 am) that the position has been matched then the position is cleared for advertising and can be forwarded to the Government Advertising Agency.

The Government Advertising Agency is advised by the Workforce Management Centre of positions received and positions matched on Tuesday of each week. To allow the Workforce Management Centre to process vacancies in time for agencies to meet the Government Advertising Agency's deadline vacancies should be received by the Workforce Management Centre no later than 9.00 am on the Tuesday of the week prior to publication.

The format for advertisements forwarded to the Workforce Management Centre should be the same as that submitted to the Government Advertising Agency for publication. This will assist the Workforce Management Centre and the Government Advertising Agency to liaise concerning any possible matches. It will also ensure that the Workforce Management Centre receives the correct information about the vacancy so that matches are made appropriately, based on both the selection criteria and the employment conditions of the position.

If your organisation has any enquiries about the above information please contact Bronwyn Dennis, A/Manager, Workforce Management Centre on 9228 4164.
