About

Circular No. 2002-61 dated 11 December 2002 advised of developments regarding the extension of salary packaging for non-SES employees.

It was foreshadowed in Circular 2002-61 that further advice would be provided on the outcome of a proposed period contract for the supply of salary packaging administrative services to Departments and Agencies. The State Contracts Control Board has now approved the contract to commence on 1 January 2003. The contract is operative for a period of three (3) years up to 31 December 2005 with an option to extend for a further 12 month period.

The successful contractors are:

  • McMillan Shakespeare Australia Pty Ltd (MSA)
  • PILLAR Administration

Marketing of the salary packaging initiative will be a joint responsibility of the NSW Supply which administers the contract and the successful contractors. It is envisaged that the contractors will contact your Department or Agency shortly to market their particular services. Should you wish to initiate those discussions contact details are as follows:

McMillan Shakespeare Australia P/L - Neale Kennedy 9929 6645 or [email protected]

PILLAR Administration - Phil Jones 9238 5282 or [email protected]

A Guidelines and User Manual will be available shortly on the website at www.supply.dpws.nsw.gov.au (or you could contact Claret Manoharan, Contract Officer on 9372 7574 to obtain a copy via facsimile or email).

The Manual will outline the salary packaging initiative and will be a useful guide for both employers and employees.

Should your organisation choose to engage one of the contractors, then it is part of the contractor's obligations to develop, in consultation with your organisation, a separate and more detailed procedures manual suited to your specific needs.
