The Strategic Management Calendar is produced by the Premier's Department. The Calendar has been developed as an aid for managers within the NSW Government and is of particular relevance to managers of General Government Sector agencies.

To better align the Calendar with the planning financial and reporting processes of agencies, the Calendar will now cover the financial year period. To assist transition to this process, the period January 2003 to June 2003 will be included for this year. The Calendar has also been updated to reflect the recent public sector realignment of agencies and responsibilities. It identifies key agency milestones and obligations for the 2003/04 financial year, together with the main Central Agency reporting requirements throughout the year.

Work is underway on the Strategic Management Framework which underpins the Calendar in order to provide more up-to-date information and linkages to support agency planning, budgeting and reporting. Further advice will be provided on the nature and timing of the improvements to the portal.
