The Premier's Public Sector Awards have been presented since 1997 to encourage and acknowledge projects and initiatives which have produced proven results and benefits. They formally recognise and reward achievements of excellence and provide an opportunity to showcase the New South Wales public sector's commitment to quality and provision of service.

Nominations are now invited for 2004. The closing date is Friday 6 August 2004.

The Awards are open to all public sector agencies and services including departments, authorities, boards, commissions, government trading enterprises and state owned corporations. The Awards recognise achievements in the following categories:

  • Business, Management and Financial Performance
  • Community Development
  • eGovernment
  • Service Delivery
  • Services to Rural NSW
  • Social Justice
  • The Environment
  • Workforce Diversity

Nominated projects may be large or small, single or multi-agency. Guidelines and a nomination form are attached.
