About
The Premier's Public Sector Awards have been presented since 1997 to encourage and acknowledge outstanding initiatives which have produced proven benefits for New South Wales. They formally recognise and reward achievements of excellence and provide an opportunity to showcase the NSW public sector's commitment to quality and the provision of service.
Nominations are now invited for 2007. The closing date for entries is Monday 30 July 2007.
The Awards are open to all public sector agencies including departments, authorities, boards, commissions, government trading enterprises and state owned corporations. This year, the Award categories have been aligned to the NSW State Plan http://www.nsw.gov.au/stateplan/ and will recognise achievements in the following categories:
- Rights, Respect and Responsibility
- Delivering Better Services
- Fairness and Opportunity
- Growing Prosperity Across NSW
- Environment for Living
- Delivering the Plan
- Delivering Locally
Nominations may be single or multi-agency, large or small with statewide, local or in house impacts, and related to all agency functions including front line service delivery, policy/research and corporate support services. Nominations are to be submitted electronically and in hard copy as outlined in the attached Guidelines and Nomination Form.
Information is available at the Department of Premier and Cabinet's website under What's New, including details of previous Award winners. (see also PPSA webpage)
I encourage all Chief Executives to nominate achievements from their organisations for a 2007 Premier's Public Sector Award.
