About
Safe Work Australia Week will be held from 21 to 27 October 2007. It focuses on workplace safety and encourages workers to actively think about safety in the workplace to reduce injury and death.
The NSW Government supports Safe Work Australia Week and encourages all Departments to hold an event to raise safety awareness.
By organising a safety event you can highlight the importance of safety and the role that everyone plays in making safety a priority at work. The WorkCover website has ideas for fun and informative activities.
You can register your activity with WorkCover to receive a free promotional kit, including pens, magnets, water bottles and posters. You will also go in the draw to win two tickets to the Safety Conference to be held 24 to 26 October 2007.
Free promotional items and a PowerPoint template are also available from the Australian Safety and Compensation Council (ASCC) website.
