The changes to sick leave management result from the Memorandum of Understanding in settlement of the Crown Employees (Public Sector Salaries – 2008) Award. The Managing Sick Leave Policy reflects these changes and should be read in conjunction with the Crown Employees (Public Service Conditions of Employment) Reviewed Award 2006 and other relevant instruments.
Agencies may develop their own policy but should ensure it is consistent with the framework, principles and intent of the Policy.
Accrual and calculations for entitlements can still be found in the Personnel Handbook.
