The 2010 Reserve Forces Day Parade will be held on Sunday 4 July 2010 in Sydney. The parade will acknowledge the service over the last 60 years of Reservists , in particular those who volunteered to serve overseas.

Parades are also to be held in Tamworth, Parkes, Newcastle and Lismore although the dates are not confirmed. The Wagga Wagga parade is to be held on Saturday 12 June 2010 and the Taree parade is to be held on Sunday 27 June 2010.

Public sector employees eligible to attend the parades who are rostered to work on the day the parade is to be held in their locality may apply for either a change in the roster for that day or for accrued leave. Accrued leave includes flex leave, recreation or extended leave. Applications for either a change in roster or accrued leave are subject to their agency’s operational requirements.

Public sector agencies are encouraged to release eligible employees to attend the parades where possible.

All public sector agencies other than State Owned Corporations. This includes all agencies and employees in the Government Service (Public Service Departments, Non-Public Service Divisions and Special Employment Divisions), the Teaching Service, NSW Police and the NSW Health Service.
